Used by schools, clubs, and organisations to issue secure IDs at scale.
Not everyone needs a printed card
Staff working remotely, contractors on-site for a week, volunteers at an event, support workers visiting clients — they need identity verification now, not after a card is printed and posted. Wallet IDs are issued in minutes and live on the phone your people already carry.
Recipients get an email with a link to add their ID to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. One tap, and it's on their phone. No app to download, no account to create, no password to remember. The pass sits alongside their boarding passes and payment cards — always accessible, even from the lock screen.
Verification that works anywhere
Every wallet pass carries a secure QR code. When someone scans it — a receptionist, a client, a site supervisor — their phone opens a live verification portal showing the holder's photo, name, role, organisation, and credential status. No app required on the verifier's phone. No special hardware.
The verification portal pulls live data from your organisation's records. If a person's role changes, their credential is revoked, or their pass is suspended, the verification page reflects that immediately. Each scan is cryptographically validated — a copied or tampered QR code won't pass verification. Scan events are logged for audit.
You can configure which fields appear on the verification page. If your verifiers need to see a department, clearance level, credential expiry, or any other field from your roster, include it — giving the people scanning passes exactly the information they need.
Custom barcodes for your own systems
Beyond the CaptrID verification QR code, you can add a barcode or QR code that links to your own systems. Point it at an internal URL, encode a membership number for loyalty scanners, or generate a code your existing check-in system already reads. Choose from QR, PDF417, Aztec, or Code 128 formats depending on what your infrastructure expects.
This means a single wallet pass can serve double duty — CaptrID verification for identity checks, plus a barcode your existing scanners already understand.
Branding and display fields
Every pass carries your organisation's logo, brand colours, and card title. Choose which fields from your roster appear on the pass — up to four display fields alongside the photo, name, and ID number. Configure it once in the template editor, and every pass generated from that template follows the same design.
Hero images support five layout presets for the pass header, so your passes look polished without needing a graphic designer. The template editor shows a live preview of exactly what the pass will look like on a phone.
Expiry, revocation, and lifecycle
Set validity periods on your templates — rolling (e.g. 90 days from issue), fixed date, or no expiry. Expired passes are automatically deactivated. Revoke individual passes instantly when someone leaves your organisation, loses a device, or no longer meets clearance requirements. Revoked Google Wallet passes are deactivated via the Google API — the pass stops working on the holder's device.
Suspend passes temporarily without full revocation — useful when a credential is under review or a device is reported lost. The verification portal shows the current status, so anyone scanning the pass sees the truth immediately.
Bulk generation and email delivery
Generate passes for your entire roster in one job. CaptrID queues the work and processes it in the background — you don't need to wait for hundreds of passes to generate before moving on. Track progress from the admin portal.
Distribute passes via email with a single click. Each person receives a branded email with a link to add the pass to their wallet. Delivery status is tracked per person — sent, failed, or skipped. If someone's data changes after issuance, CaptrID flags the pass as outdated so you can regenerate and resend.
Connected to your roster
Wallet passes are generated from your master list — the same roster you manage, sync from Microsoft Entra, and populate from photo sessions. Approved photos flow through automatically. When you update someone's details in the roster, CaptrID detects the change and flags affected passes for regeneration.
This isn't a standalone pass generator. It's the last step in a complete workflow: import your roster, capture and approve photos, then issue digital credentials — all from one platform.
